Civil Nights at The Grand Hall: An Evening with Kelli Paddon
Civil Nights at The Grand Hall is a monthly discussion that aims to increase civic engagement between elections, and support a social form of political education within the general public. We hope to support these missions by providing a safe space for people to hear and share clear information regarding topics like:
- What different levels of government are responsible for,
- Who to contact regarding what,
- Best practices when communicating with officials, and
- Successful policy reform stories
In addition to resources/information, we will also feature a guest speaker at each event. Such speakers will include current and past elected officials, government staff, and community members with relevant experience.
These event are community-led and will be non-partisan, free with registration and open to the public.
Program:
- 6:00PM – Doors Open
- 6:20PM – Program Starts
- 7:30PM – Open discussion/mingle
No alcohol is permitted on premise during this event. Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages welcome.
Public registration for this event will open October 17th.
