Civil Nights at The Grand Hall: City Councillor Nicole Read

February 10 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

ABOUT

Civil Nights at The Grand Hall is a monthly discussion that aims to increase civic engagement between elections, and support a social form of political education within the general public. We hope to support these missions by providing a safe space for people to hear and share clear information regarding topics like:

  • The roles and responsibilities within various levels of Canadian/local government
  • Who to contact regarding what and best practices when doing so
  • Successful policy reform stories and recommendations to
  • Personal experiences and advice from past and current officials

These discussions will be held with guests –  current and past elected officials, government staff, and community members with relevant experience – on the second Tuesday of each month.

These event are community-led and will be non-partisan, free with registration and open to the public.
