DESCRIPTION:Civil Nights at The Grand Hall is a monthly discussion that aims to increase civic engagement between elections\, and support a social form of political education within the general public. We hope to support these missions by providing a safe space for people to hear and share clear information regarding topics like: \n\nWhat different levels of government are responsible for\,\nWho to contact regarding what\,\nBest practices when communicating with officials\, and\nSuccessful policy reform stories\n\nIn addition to resources/information\, we will also feature a guest speaker at each event. Such speakers will include current and past elected officials\, government staff\, and community members with relevant experience. \nThese event are community-led and will be non-partisan\, free with registration and open to the public. \nProgram: \n\n6:00PM – Doors Open\n6:20PM – Program Starts\n7:30PM – Open discussion/mingle\n\nNo alcohol is permitted on premise during this event. Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages welcome. \nRegistration to open in April. Guest speaker to be announced at least 1 month prior to event date.
